Golf Real Estate in Los Cabos: Courses & Communities
Los Cabos is one of the world's premier golf destinations, with courses by Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Tom Fazio, Davis Love III, Tiger Woods, and others — each anchoring a luxury residential community. From Puerto Los Cabos and Querencia to Palmilla, Quivira, and Diamante, golf and real estate go hand in hand here.
From the Fairway to the Front Door
Since moving to Los Cabos, I've had the privilege of playing some of the most spectacular golf courses in the world — and along the way I've lowered my handicap to 13. Golf has taken me across the USA, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, and the Caribbean, but there's something special about the courses here.
Many golfers who visit Los Cabos don't just come back for the golf — they start looking for homes here. That's exactly where my two passions come together: golf and real estate.
Why Los Cabos Is One of the World's Best Golf Destinations
Los Cabos has quietly become one of the most desirable destinations in the world for golfers and luxury homebuyers alike. Within a relatively small region, you'll find courses designed by legendary architects — Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Robert Trent Jones Jr., Tom Weiskopf, Tom Fazio, Davis Love III, Fred Couples, and Tiger Woods. By the end of 2026, Ernie Els will also have designed the Oleada Golf Links course (more on that in my next blog).
These courses offer dramatic desert landscapes, oceanfront fairways, and year-round sunshine — a combination that's hard to find anywhere else. For many visitors, what starts as a golf trip quickly becomes a vision of owning a home here.
Golf Courses I've Played — and the Communities Around Them
As both a real estate professional and an avid golfer, I've been fortunate to play many of the best courses in the region. Experiencing them firsthand has given me a deeper understanding of the lifestyle and the real estate around each one.
In San José del Cabo, a unique 27-hole facility split between Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman designs. The surrounding community offers ocean-view homes, a marina, a beach club, and exclusive neighborhoods such as Fundadores — a wonderful blend of golf, coastal living, and luxury real estate.
One of the most exclusive private golf communities in Los Cabos. Beyond the breathtaking Fazio course, the club features a beach club, tennis, yoga, hiking trails, a dog park, and an organic farm — with a strong sense of community and spectacular homes overlooking the Sea of Cortés.
Often called the "Grand Dame of Los Cabos golf," this was Jack Nicklaus' first design in Latin America — a 27-hole layout across three nines: Arroyo, Mountain (private, owned by One&Only Palmilla), and Ocean (semi-public).
Sometimes called "the Pebble Beach south of the border," this Jack Nicklaus design delivers dramatic granite cliffs and Pacific Ocean views from nearly every hole.
Home to the famous Dunes Course by Davis Love III, El Cardonal by Tiger Woods, The Oasis short course, and the coming Legacy Club. Extraordinary beachfront residences and strong investment potential define this community.

When Golf Trips Turn Into Real Estate Dreams
Something interesting happens when people come to Los Cabos for golf. They arrive for a few rounds with friends, fall in love with the weather, the views, and the lifestyle — and then they ask the question I hear so often: "What would it be like to own a home here?"
Because I don't just sell homes near golf courses — I've walked those fairways, experienced those communities, and I understand the lifestyle they offer.

⛳ A note for golf buyers: golf communities vary widely in membership structure, course access (private vs. semi-public), and rental rules. Knowing those details before you buy is just as important as loving the course — and it's where playing them firsthand really helps.
